USCYBERCOM collaborates with existing cyberspace resources creating synergy that does not currently exist and synchronizing war-fighting effects to defend the USA's information security environment.

We have Software and Cyber Security Developer positions available for Levels I, II, and III.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI + Poly is required
  • (2) or more years years experience in application software development.
  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of software development and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Translation of customer requirements into functional software solutions in a DoD cyberspace operational environment
  • Experience in integration of hardware and software systems on complex architectures and knowledge with Cybersecurity R&D activities such as Cyber Defense resilience, malware analysis, insider threat risk mitigation, Cyber Defense Education and Training, Mobile Device Security, and Cloud-based security protection a plus
  • C2 System development experience
  • Experience with SQL databases, Microsoft Access databases, Information Security mechanisms
  • Understanding of SDLC and technical principles, theories and concepts
  • Cloud-based security protection experience

Job Description/Duties:

  • Provide real-time system development, management and systems engineering support to the Government network and web-based initiatives in accordance with mission requirements.
  • Might provide the following system development support:
    • Collaborate and coordinate with the Government and system owners to fulfill system requirements.
    • Develop databases (SQL databases, Microsoft Access databases, customized databases) with appropriate information security mechanisms implemented, and maintain databases for web sites and evolving systems
    • Respond to exercise, crisis or contingency situations by providing system support and systems administration of user accounts on both the Government's classified and unclassified systems
    • Participate in USCYBERCOM requirements working groups to define cyber capabilities/tools and recommend courses of action
    • Assist USCYBERCOM technical experts in reviewing functional requirements to analyze the feasibility of implementing solutions, develop system requirements, and assist in revising the functional requirements as necessary
    • Assist requirement owners in reviewing functional requirements and conducting solution analysis activities to determine courses of action for recommendation to appropriate Government officials
    • Identify and recommend business processes to improve organizational efficiency as applicable
    • Document all work completed in accordance with existing USCYBERCOM technical writing and system documentation requirements.
    • Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
    • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
    • Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
    • Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
