Job Summary:

Provide CBRNE/WMD/EOD exercise support to the 20th CBRNE Command.  Serve as an Exercise Specialist to the Command and the subordinate units to include scheduling, coordinating, planning and conducting exercises; research and provide CBRNE technical and tactical information regarding Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), devices and weapons threats in order to incorporate them into exercise scenarios; plan and write exercise scenarios, Master Event Scenario Lists (MESLs), simulations, instructions and injects for exercises; serve as an Observer Controller (OC) and Observer Trainer (OT) for exercises; write and conduct After Action Reviews (AARs); serve as an exercise White Cell member and generate enemy and friendly activities and missions based on MESLs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Support a multi- disciplinary team on all aspects of organizing, planning, and executing 20th CBRNE Command CBRNE/EOD exercises.

  • Assist executing joint CBRNE defense training at the combatant commands and/or component commands levels; Plan, Develop, and Execute Full Scale, Command Post, Table Top Exercises.
  • Assist developing the Joint Event Life Cycle Management, Planning Conference Organization, Exercise Plan Development and Master Scenario of Events List Development.
  • Develop exercise products (e.g. AARs, WMD scenario scripting, Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), intelligence reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in DOD exercise development and execution.
  • Experience must include organizing, planning, and executing CBRNE/WMD related exercises.
  • Demonstrate expertise in support of the planning and execution of joint CBRNE defense training at the combatant commands and/or component commands.
  • Experience will include Exercise Planning, Development, and Execution efforts inclusive of Full Scale, Command Post, Table Top Exercises, the Joint Event Life Cycle Management, Planning Conference Organization, Exercise Plan Development and Master Scenario of Events List Development (MSEL).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the DOD and with other federal agencies is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be willing to travel 30% - 40%.
